Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 lower with lean cows 5.00 higher and slaughter bulls steady. Demand was moderate for calves and feeders as the CME cattle boards were very unstable throughout most of the week. Demand was good to instances very good for bred heifers and cows. Reputation black hided, AI'd for February sold for 5100.00 per head with the buyer gathering up 100 head. Overall, the demand for a bred female to calve next year remains good as all time cattle numbers are still at record low levels.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Wyoming barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
