Not enough calves or feeders for a market comparison. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher, feeding cows sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady. Cow/calf pairs sold 200.00 to 300.00 per pair higher. Much needed rain showers prevailed around the trade area giving cattlemen hope more will come soon to make grass conditions flourish. With the rain showers brought more buyers to the seats to actively bid for all offerings on hand. Some cattlemen having ample feed have decided to buy thinner type cows to kick out of grass or add weight to them in the feedlot. Some will kick a bull out with the younger cows and will sell them in the fall as bred cows.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
