Compared to last week steers sold mostly steady with instances 10.00 higher on 8 weights. Most heifers sold 10.00 to 15.00 higher. Slaughter cows are 2.00 higher except fat cows sold 4.00 lower. Slaughter bulls sold 3.00 higher. Demand was good throughout the week. Several strings of feeders that usually sell on the summer video sales came through the auction this week as most pasture or range conditions are not very good. Per NASS, only 19% of the range is listed at good condition. Places east of Casper or I 25 are showing the most signs of drought this week with extreme drought in and around Platte and Goshen counties.
