Compared to last week on comparable offering of yearling steers sold steady to 6.00 higher and yearling heifers sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Medium flesh and fleshy cows sold 4.00 lower with lean cows 4.00 higher. Slaughter bull sold 9.00 higher. Most stock cows and feeding cows sold 4.00 to 10.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for calves and feeder catle with good demand for slaugher cows. Most of the local trade area is still dealing with drought conditions. Central and western Wy is in a lot betting shape for moisture for this time of year. Most irrigation districts are in good shape due to the snow pack that is starting to fill reservoirs. Top soil moisture per NASS last week was 46% adequate compared to to 66% last year. Subsoil moisture is 39% compared to 67% previous year. Hay and roughage supplies for Wyoming were reported as 51 percent adequate, and 13 percent surplus. Stock water supplies were reported as 84 percent adequate, compared 94 percent adequate last year.
