Compared to last week steers less than 600 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher. Over 600 lbs sold 10.00 higher. Heifers less than 700 lbs sold steady to 4.00 higher and over 700 lbs sold unevenly steady. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 2.00 higher. Demand was good for cattle suited for summer grass and for bangs vaccinated heifers that will be made into a bred heifer. Even with drought conditions prevailing in a large area around Torrington, buyers are optimistic on the markets. Gusty winds continue to dry out topsoil and blow dust as far as the eyes can see. Hopefully the winds can blow in some moisture.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Wyoming barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
