Compared to last week steers less than 500 lbs sold 20.00 higher, 5 weight steers sold 10.00 higher and 6 weight steers sold 1.00 higher over 700 lbs sold steady to 5.00 lower on a light test. Heifers less than 600 lbs sold 10.00 to 20.00 higher over 600 lbs sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to instances 3.00 higher on thin fleshed feeding cows. Slaughter bulls sold 3.00 higher. Demand was good for all offerings throughout the week. Slaughter cows starting to be in short supply. But it's that time of year, as ranchers are calving or just getting ready to start.
