Compared to last week: Feeder steers 7.00-13.00 higher. Steer calves 10.00-15.00 higher. Feeder heifers and heifer calves 10.00-15.00 higher. Demand good. After two weeks of declines, feeder cattle and calf prices rebounded to near record highs. News from southern boarder has pushed futures higher this week. Farmers reentered the calf market, after wrapping up sowing wheat, driving all classes of calves dollars higher. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower. Slaughter bulls steady. Boxed beef prices continue their downward trend with Choice being down 10.00 and Select down 9.00 this week. Direct slaughter trade was down from 3.00 in Texas at 237.00 to 4.00-6.00 lower in Nebraska at 232.00-235.00.
