For NASS: 1,654 cows and bulls sold with 63 percent going to packers; Last week: 1,074 with 59 percent going to packers; Last year: 2,183 with 49 percent going to packers.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 800 lbs. mostly 2.00-8.00 higher, over 800 lbs. steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder heifers mostly steady to 6.00 higher. Demand moderate to good for all classes. Steer and heifer calves lightly tested this week. Steer calves steady to 10.00 higher and heifer calves 4.00-8.00 higher. Slaughter cows 3.00-8.00 higher on light receipts. Slaughter bulls steady to 2.00 higher. Thunderstorm and rain chances will be present across the trade region next week. Temperatures are expected to reach into the mid to upper 80's next week.
