For NASS: 2,470 cows and bulls sold with 61 percent going to packers; Last week: 2,480 with 68 percent going to packers; Last year: 2,429 with 43 percent going to packers.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 4.00-15.00 lower. Demand light to moderate for all classes. Steer and heifer calves 12.00-15.00 lower on a light test. Slaughter cows 6.00-19.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 6.00-10.00 lower. Cattle futures remain volatile as they close down most of the week. Rain moved across the trade region and dampened some cattle movement. Some areas can expect rain again next week.
