For NASS: 2,480 cows and bulls sold with 68 percent going to packers; Last week: 479 with 79 percent going to packers; Last year: 2,466 with 41 percent going to packers.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 5.00-20.00 higher. Demand good to very good for all classes. Steer calves 12.00-18.00 higher on a light test. Heifer calves 10.00-16.00 higher on a light test. Warm spring weather will continue into next week with a chance of rain across the trade region. Slaughter cows 5.00-15.00 higher. Slaughter bulls 1.00-10.00 higher. Demand very good as packers work to keep up with meat demand.
