Compared to last week, steers and heifers less than 700 lbs lightly tested. Yearling steers sold 3.00 to 6.00 lower and yearling heifers sold 2.00 to 8.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Brutal heat index most of the week along with very little wind had feedlots and all livestock owners on high alert making sure livestock has plenty of water with some feedlots adding shade and sprinklers to keep livestock cooler. Another large drop at area feedlots on their negotiated cash sales. Live sales sold 10.00 lower at 230.00 and dressed sales sold 15.00 lower at 365.00.
