Compared to last week not enough steers less than 800 lbs for a market test. Over 800 lbs sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Best test of the heifer market was on yearling heifers with most weight trending 20.00 lower. Demand was mostly moderate as the CME cattle boards continued to sell off and excessive heat causing issues at feedlots across the state. Ranchers continue to sell off fall bred cows and cow/calf pairs due to the very short, dry summer grass. Nebraska feedlots posted live sales 8.00 lower from 238.00 to 240.00 and dressed sales 13.00 to 15.00 lower from 375.00 to 380.00.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
