Compared to last week most weights of steer calves and yearlings sold 10.00 higher, except flat 8 weight steers sold 10.00 lower. Heifer calves less than 700 lbs sold 4.00 to 10.00 higher over 700 lbs sold steady to 5.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good for calves, feeders and good demand for bred heifers and cows. First real good test of the bred heifer and cow market this week across the state. Overall, prices are holding fully steady on the bred cow market. Interesting the calves and feeders sold higher across the state as the CME cattle boards traded lower most of the week. Usually when sell-offs occur the buyers set still and do not push a market higher. Feedlots felt the brunt of the downward spin on the live cattle boards. Cash trading sold live sales unevenly steady from 223.00 to mostly 225.00 but the dressed sales sold 5.00 to 7.00 lower from 350.00 to 351.00.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
