Compared to last week steer calves sold 25.00 to 30.00 lower, instances up to 40.00 lower and yearlings sold 10.00 to 15.00 lower. Heifers less than 800 lbs sold 10.00 to 20.00 lower, over 800 lbs sold 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Demand was light to moderate throughout the week. Buyers were willing to take on some inventory, however at much lower prices again this week due to not being able to protect themselves with the dropping CME Cattle Complex. Continuation of negative news in the beef sector brought rather sell offs in the CME cattle boards throughout the week, except for Wednesday when the out front contracts tried to claw back some losses. Uniformity, all the fall shot protocol was a must or bidding slowed even more. Feedlot sales fell with the CME live cattle boards as live sales sold mostly 5.00-9.00 lower at mostly 230.00 and dressed sales 7.00 to 10.00 lower from 358.00 to 360.00.
