Compared to last steers and heifers sold with a lower undertone on limited sales. Demand was good on the light supply of mostly package trade. Good demand was also noted on fall bred cows and pairs. Some of the bred cows and pair market would be hitting knocking on the door of record highs on commercial cattle sold through the auction markets. Very hot and windy temps prevailed most of the week sapping moisture out of planted fields and range lands. Some spotty showers in different areas of the state but most of those storms came with hail and damaging winds mowing crops like they never even been planted. Always something the rancher and farmer have to overcome to make a profit. Live negotiated feedlot sales sold 4.00 to 6.00 lower at 236.00 and dressed sales sold 4.00 lower at 276.00.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
