Compared to last week, steer and heifer fall calves and yearling feeders sold 10.00 to 20.00 higher. Order buyers, farmer/feeders and internet buyers continue to bid readily for offerings that appeal to their eyes. Active markets as sellers leave the sale with huge smiles and a check they should frame and hang on the wall. Amazing the dollars per head these cattle are selling for as the cattle head to the next phase of their feeding period. Feedlot sales slipped back a few dollars in the last full week of June. Negotiated dressed sales sold at 368.00, 8.00 lower and live sales 5.00 to 7.00 lower at 230.00. Wishing all readers a Happy 4th of July!!

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
