Compared to last week steers less than 700 lbs sold 10.00 to 15.00 higher, over 700 lbs sold steady to 4.00 higher. Heifers less than 600 lbs sold 10.00 higher over 600 lbs sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher except 8 weights sold 10.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for weaned and bawling fall calves, yearlings and good demand for fall bred cows. Optimism continues at all auctions as feedlots continue to sell show list at record prices they are backfilling empty pens with feeders at record prices. The cash market continues to outperform the CME cattle boards by several dollars as producers appear not to be paying any attention to the boards right now. Feedlot sales on a cash basis banged around steady this week with live sales from 240.00 to 242.00 and dressed sales at 380.00.
