Compared to last week, steers and heifers under 550 lbs sold 7.00 to 12.00 higher; steers 550 to 650 lbs sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower; steers over 650 sold steady to 5.00 higher. Heifers 550 to 700 lbs sold steady to 2.00 lower; over 700 lbs steady to 4.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good throughout the week as this week's volume of available feeder cattle were much more plentiful after the previous week's arctic blast. Some backgrounded cattle displayed a little tag from the recent snow and melt, however cattle running out on cornstalks appeared fairly light fleshed as they came out of the brutal cold last week. Nebraska feedlots traded lower on the week live sales sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower at 198.00 and dressed sales sold 2.00 lower at 313.00.
