Compared to last week steers less than 500 lbs sold sharply higher with all other weights trending around 6.00 to 10.00 lower, depending on flesh and condition. Heifers traded unevenly steady throughout the week on a relatively light supply. Demand was moderate to good. With the CME cattle boards going down most of the week, buyers were selective on what they were to purchase. Quite a few of the cattle came off cereal grain pastures. Nebraska feedlots traded at steady money on live sales at 187.00 and steady to 1.00 higher on dressed sales from 295.00 with some at 296.00. Rain showers in some areas of the state with a few parts in the west central running center pivots due to dry conditions. Other areas of the state are running pivots lightly as they are trying to avoid "crusting" on many fields.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
