Compared to last week 500 weight steers sold 4.00 lower, 600 to 900 lbs sold steady to 7.00 higher. Heifers less than 600 lbs sold 4.00 to 5.00 lower, 600 to 800 lbs sold 7.00 to 10.00 higher and over 800 lbs sold fully steady. Demand was good for calves, feeders, and pairs. With springtime moisture arriving across most areas of the state it appears summer grass will be good, and some cattlemen have opted to purchase pairs for summer grazing. The rains have also halted most springtime plantings especially on the heavier soils. But all moisture has been welcomed. Feedlot sales turned a tick higher on the week even though the CME live cattle boards sold lower most of the week. Live sales traded 2.00 higher from 186.00 to 187.00 and dressed sales sold fully steady from 294.00 to 295.00.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
