Compared to last week steers less than 500 lbs sold 10.00 higher, over 500 lbs most lots sold 2.00 higher. Heifers sold steady to 3.00 higher except 6 weight heifers sold 7.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for grass cattle, feeder cattle and bred cows. Some sales have started there summer schedule of having feeder sales every two weeks. Won't be long until some auctions may have monthly sales. Feedlot trade on cash sales was slow to kick off on the most part. Many feedlots know that show-list will be rather light soon, and many were holding firm on asking prices. Some feedlots did cash in on the week with dressed sales from 296.00 to 300.00 with a weighted average price at 298.08 on Friday afternoon. Live sales on Friday ranged from 186.00 to 188.00 with an average at 187.42.
