Compared to last week steers sold 4.00 to 10.00 higher. Heifers under 700 lbs sold 7.00 to 10.00 higher, over 700 lbs sold 3.00 to 7.00 higher. Most advance this week was on cattle going to summer grass or headed to wheat pastures. Overall demand was moderate to good for calves, feeders with good demand for bred cows. Several loads of bred females headed to the southern plains as ranchers are trying to restock after the huge sell off cows last year. Artic weather still in the state at weeks close but warmer temps are on the horizon. Nebraska feedlot trade was at a standstill most of the week with limited traded Friday afternoon. Few live and dressed sales traded steady on the week.
