Compared to last week not enough comparable offerings of light weight steers for a market comparison. Steers from 700 to 800 lbs sold 5.00 higher over 800 lbs sold 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Heifers sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Demand was good especially for yearlings coming off of summer grass. Spotty rain showers across some of the state. Negotiated feedlot sales sold a tick higher this week with live sales at mostly 98.00 and dressed sales from 157.00 to 158.50. Actual slaughter weight for week ending 7/11, All Live 1372 (+7), steer carcass 902(+6) and heifer carcass 829 (+3).
