Compared to last week, steer calves under 700 lbs sold unevenly steady. Over 700 lbs sold 4.00 to 5.00 higher. Most weights of heifers sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher except 600 lbs offerings sold 8.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher and slaughter bulls sold 3.00 higher. Bred cows and pairs sold unevenly steady. Demand was good. Supply comprised of weaned and fresh off the cow fall calves, late born spring calves of 2019 and yearling feeder cattle with bred cattle and pairs. Most auctions had a tick bigger crowd in attendance along with active bidding and buying from internet buyers. Feedlot sales sold sharply higher for the week with live sales at 119.00-120.00 and dressed sales from 180.00-190.00. Around 90 percent of the corn crop is in the ground along with 78 percent of the soybeans. Some places south of I-80 in the central part of the state going east to the Missouri river are listed at abnormally dry for this time of year. Hopefully the light to moderate rain across some areas of the state will give relief to these dry areas.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
