Compared to last week steers sold steady to 2.00 lower with 800 lbs trending 4.00 lower. Heifers sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Demand was moderate to good for calves and feeder cattle. Good demand was noted on bred cows with several long strings of complete dispersion. Some of the bred cows stayed in the local trade area with some going to out of state buyers. Some buyers were a tick cautious stepping out to procure calves and feeder cattle as nobody can get a good feel on how low this sell off might be. Fear in the big cities and around the world on the "virus of 2020" continues to play havoc on the stock and agriculture markets. The US National weather service issued several "red" flag warnings (high chance of fire) as unseasonably warm and dry weather with gusty winds blew across the Cornhusker state. Feedlot trade continues to follow the "futures" down each week as box beef remains mostly steady. This week live sales traded at 113.00 and dressed sales ranged from 181.00-182.00, Remember on Sunday, March 8th spring those clocks ahead one hour for daylight savings.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
