Compared to last week light weight steers sold 3.00 higher, over 500 lbs steers sold 3.00 to 10.00 lower. Heifers sold 5.00 to 8.00 lower except flat 800 lbs sold steady to 2.00 higher. Best demand this week was for light weight calves suited for grass and replacement type heifers. By weeks close about everyone in the agriculture sector has felt or seen the affects from the CME boards as sharp losses have occurred most of the week. But, agriculture producers will bet on the come and hope this downward turn is short lived and bounce back in leaps in bounds in the near future. Several reputation replacement heifers were on auction this week as buyers bid readily for the top quality genetics on offer.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
