Compared to last week steers under 650 lbs sold steady to 2.00 higher, over 650 lbs sold unevenly steady. Heifers under 550 lbs sold 1.00 to 4.00 higher, over 550 lbs sold steady. Blustery cold weather moved across most of the state this week and really didn't slow demand for calves and feeder cattle. But, demand for bred cows and heifers slowed up some. Some lots of light weight calves are heading out of state for winter grazing. Several lots of reputation heifers were marked at replacement as area ranchers are planning for there future in the cattle business. Nebraska feedlots traded most of there negotiated cash show list Thursday at steady money. Dressed sales sold from 199.00 to 200.00 live sales at 124.00.
