Compared to last week steer calves sold 5.00 to 10.00 lower with yearling steers 2.00 to 6.00 lower. Heifer calves sold 6.00 to 7.00 lower and yearlings sold mostly 4.00 lower. Demand was mostly light for the fresh bawling calves with moderate to good demand for yearling feeders. Some of the calves had pre-condition shots and most of the yearling cattle are right off of grass. Green chop time has arrived in a large area of the state as silage crews have begun to build piles of top quality feed. Feedlots sold some cattle on Thursday with dressed sales from 159.00- 160.00 with a few at 162.00.
