Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 500 lbs 10.00 to 15.00 lower, 500-550 lbs steady to 2.00 lower, over 550 lbs 10.00 to 20.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 500 lbs 10.00 to 20.00 higher, over 500 lbs unevenly steady. Lighter receipts this week as multiple Alberta clippers moved across the region bringing more snow, which created hazardous conditions to haul livestock. Demand very good for all weights, improved demand for those heavier steers as cash fed cattle at 230.00, and the futures contracts at that level as well, has given the cattle feeder the boost they have been needing.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
