Compared to last week: Only 1 reported auction this week, no comparisons to be made. Feeder cattle offerings limited this week as the spring marketing season is winding down. Good demand very light weight steers and heifers to develop into yearling on this summer's grass. The CME cattle futures were very volatile this week, not showing producers a clear direction for the future as big swings were the norm. Cash fed cattle sales being reported at 207.00-208.00. Drought conditions are worrisome to cattle producers in the western part of the state as the winter was extremely dry and spring rain has been elusive.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
