Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers 8.00 to 12.00 higher, except 500-550 lbs and 600-650 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Feeder heifers 2.00 to 6.00 higher, instances of 10.0 to 12.00 higher. Very good for all weights of steers and heifers as all auction markets were back to hosting feeder cattle auctions, as the arctic weather was replaced with much above average temps. Cattle feeders are back to being very bullish on the market, in spite of breakeven prices not supported by the current futures market structure. Cash fed cattle slipped below 200.00, but the enthusiasm to buy feeder cattle has reached a fever pitch again as new historically high prices are reached. CME Corn futures continue to slip well below 5.00, helping to support feeder cattle prices.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
