Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers unevenly steady. Good demand for all weights of steers and heifers, but with the cash fed cattle market backing off from its' highs and the volatility in the futures contracts the feeder market was under a little pressure. Very cold weather kept some cattle producers from getting their cattle hauled to town. Improved demand for replacement quality heifers as more of those kinds are starting be offered in the auctions, as is normal for this time of the year. Colder weather in the forecast for next week as well, auctions have already been cancelled for the week.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
