Only 1 reported auction this week, too few feeder cattle offered to allow a good price comparison to be made. Very good demand remains for yearling steers and heifers. Very few spring calves offered this week, demand was light as there weren’t enough offered to fully test the market. More calves will be offered in the next few weeks. Corn harvest has begun in cattle feeding country, the harvest looks to be abundant, the corn market is low, feedyard pens are free from mud, all of these factors are helping to support the feeder cattle market at these price levels.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
