Compared to last week, steers sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher except for 600-800 lbs sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Heifers sold 1.00 to 4.00 lower. Demand was good. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 2.00 higher. Feedlot trade in Kansas this week 1.00 to 2.00 lower at 208.00. This past week in the hay market, , demand was light, and trades remained slow. Prices were mostly steady. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor for the week of March 25th, with the northern Plains' drought occurring at multiple time scales, current impacts include poor conditions for rangeland, pastures, and winter wheat.
