Compared to last week: Steers 450-500lbs, 5.00-7.00 higher; 500-550lbs, 15.00 higher; 550-600lbs, 5.00 lower; 600-650lbs, unevenly steady; 650-700lbs, sharply lower. Heifers 400-450lbs, sharply higher; 450-500lbs, unevenly steady; 500-600lbs, 8.00-10.00 higher; 600-650, mostly steady. Quality was mixed in today's offering of mostly large packages, with lower weights selling on good demand. Most all of the calves were carrying both spring and fall shots. A few consigners canceled until next week because of two days of rain. Next week, Oct. 22, is the first Wednesday Special Calf Sale, followed on Friday, October 24, with a regular Calf Sale starting at 8am.
