As filed

Best comparison from last week's smaller sale in the steers 450-500lbs, 16.00 higher, with most other weights also trending considerably higher. Heifers were also trending higher, with some weights sharply higher. Nice offering of home raised spring calves, coming straight from the cow, sold on very good demand. Calves carrying both spring and fall shots brought premiums. The market was very active early on, with full seats and some new buyers, but cleared out towards the end of todays first primarily spring calf sale. The next sale, October 17, starts at 8 AM, selling calves all day. October 18 is the first of the season Saturday Bred Cow and Weigh Up sale.
