Compared to two weeks ago: The best test on Steer Calves was 700-750lbs, 7.00 higher and 750-800lbs, mostly steady. Heifer Calves 550-600lbs, 2.00 higher; 600-650lbs, 5.00 higher; 650-700lbs, 14.00 higher. Good demand for several load lots and larger packages, selling on an active market. Today's offering was mostly home raised cattle, carrying spring and fall vaccinations. Several buyers were vying for some of the nice heifer calves available, to take back to a breeding program. Some moisture came in last week, but producers are hoping for lots more, as the winds are drying things up quickly. Today's sale was followed by the Cactus Cattle Co Angus Bull Sale.
