The last reported Feeder Calf Sale was Feb. 28, so a comparison cannot be made. Very good demand for today's sale. Both order buyers and producers competed for a few load lots and packages of mostly weaned and fully vaccinated calves. Steers and heifers sold on a very strong market, with some very nice replacement style heifers headed back to a breeding program. There were also quiet a few clean up style calves that came through, as producers in the area begin the calving season. A spring storm is in the forecast for the area, and producers are feeling some optimism for a turn around on the moisture level. The stands were full, with the Mills Cattle Company Bull Sale following the feeders. April 11 is the next Feeder Calf and Replacement Heifer sale.
