Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to two weeks ago: The best comparison in Steer Calves was 500-600lbs, which were sharply lower. Heifer Calves 550-600 were trending steady, from the previous reports light numbers; 600-650lbs, 12.00 higher; 650-700lbs, 4.00 lower. Good demand for todays offering of mostly smaller packages, selling on an active market. Quality was mixed as we are nearing the end of the larger sales. Most were home raised, with spring and fall shots. Some were showing some tag from the recent warm weather and muddy pens. Quality bangs vaccinated heifers sold on very good demand again, with additional producers in the seats looking to take them back to the ranch.
