First reported sale of the season, no recent price comparisons available. Very good demand for this offering of yearling steers and heifers off grass in that very desirable light flesh condition. The market was very active as cattle feeders want to get these grass cattle bought before they are gone. There was one long string of heifers, which included two full load lots, the remaining consignments were offered as part loads and packages of steers and heifers. Buyers had to compete heavily to make and fill their loads, which resulted in a rapid market. Sept. 9, 2022 will be the next special feeder cattle sale.
