Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers 10.00 to 20.00 higher, feeder heifers 10.00 to 15.00 higher. Very good demand for this good sized offering, the largest feeder cattle offering in the last four weeks. There were light fleshed, light weight cattle suitable for summer grass as well as long strings and full loads of backgrounded yearlings bound for finishing yards, both classes were met by plenty of buyers actively bidding and competing heavily to get cattle bought. The cash fed cattle market was unclear last week, as Friday saw live sales in IA from 95.00-105.00. The futures contracts weren't supportive of a higher feeder cattle market but cattle feeders were ready to buy cattle and willing to chase the market higher to buy them. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 lower, bulls not tested.
