All calves off the cow today with varied preconditioning, calves without all their shots or without written proof of having these shots were met with less demand. Quality varied, but mostly average to attractive. Flesh mostly light to moderate. A moderate market with a couple farmer feeders and many order buyers attending the auction. Many producers and farmer feeders are busy with harvest and other fall work and are not yet ready for calves, especially unweaned ones which require a good deal of attention. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, October 15, expecting 6000 calves.
