Compared to two weeks ago: best test on heifers 750 to 800 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher and 850 to 900 lbs mostly steady. Moderate to good demand for today's light yearling offering consisting of one string of spayed heifers with the remainder of the cattle being heifers offered in packages. Quality mostly average to attractive, many of these were home raised cattle, including many of tested open heifers. Flesh mostly light to moderate with the majority of the cattle coming off grass. Moderate market activity with a limited crowd of order buyers attending the auction, any farmer feeders are busy with harvest. Harvest is progressing very quickly as the weather remains warm and dry. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, October 8.
