Compared to last week: steer calves 400 to 500 lbs 4.00 to 7.00 higher with instances up to 10.00 higher on 450 to 500 lbs, 501 to 700 lbs mostly steady. Heifer calves 400 to 450 lbs 6.00 to 10.00 higher, 451 to 600 lbs mostly steady. Good to very good demand for today's calf offering. Quality very similar to last week with many loads and packages of attractive quality calves on offer. Flesh mostly light to moderate with all calves off the cow. Most had full preconditioning, calves without all their shots were discounted at times. An active market with activity getting stronger throughout the sale. Many buyers and some farmer feeders in the seats today. Quite a bit of interest in light calves to head south to wheat pastures. Weather remains cold this week and is predicted to remain so. There is still much corn in the fields to harvest. Next feeder cattle sale is next Thursday, November 14.
