Compared to last week: best test on steers 950 to 999 lbs 6.00 to 8.00 higher with instances up to 10.00 higher, 1000 to 1049 lbs 3.00 to 4.00 lower, 1050 to 1099 lbs steady to 1.00 higher. Best test on heifers 650 to 699 lbs 3.00 higher. A nice offering of feeder cattle today featuring a little bit of everything, including cattle to finish, fall calves, light cattle for backgrounding or grass and replacement heifers. A wide range of flesh, running from light to some heavy. Most cattle were average to attractive quality. An active market seen for this offering despite volatility seen on the futures complex at the end of last week . Buyers remain optimistic and are determined to have cattle to feed and market this fall. Friday brought another widespread round of rain to the area. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, June 3.
