Compared to last week: best test on steers 900 to 1049 lbs unevenly steady. Heifers not well compared. A large offering of mostly finishing type cattle today selling in strings and loads and met with good to very good demand. Most of these cattle were average to attractive in quality, flesh ranged from moderate to heavy. A few packages offered including some light grass or backgrounding type cattle, quality on these cattle was more plain to average, and flesh condition light to moderate plus. These light cattle are easy to sell as there is such a limited number of them available this time of year. An active market with buyers willing to take multiple loads of same cut cattle at times. More uncertainty in the futures complex so far this week. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, June 10.
