As filed

Compared to last week: best test on steers 550 to 799 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Heifers 500 to 699 lbs unevenly steady, 700 to 749 lbs 10.00 to 12.00 lower. Good to very good demand for many packages, loads, and multiple loads offered today. More finishing type cattle available this week but also still plenty of lighter green cattle for backgrounding and grass programs. Overall, more flesh on the cattle than last week as some of these bigger cattle have been fed hard. Cattle remain clean and open haired with lot conditions staying fairly dry. An active market for this offering with plenty of interested bidders, however this week lacked some of the bullish attitude seen previously. A few inches of snow fell this past week and temps have gotten cold with windchills below zero, more snow expected for the weekend and even colder temps next week. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, February 12.
