As filed

Compared to last week: steers 900 to 1099 lbs mostly steady with instances up to 5.00 lower on 950 to 999 and 1050 to 1099 lbs. Heifers 800 to 899 lbs and 950 to 999 lbs 4.00 to 6.00 higher. Good to very good demand for another large offering of yearlings. Most cattle sold in loads and strings with a few packages, and most came off grass. Less flesh overall than last week with fewer lot cattle today. Quality mostly average to attractive this week. An active market with many opportunities to buy multiple loads of same weight cattle which buyers took advantage of. The futures complex had a pretty nice day today with feeder cattle up over 3.00. Very dry conditions in the area with plenty of wind, lots of red flag warnings this past week. Bean harvest is moving quickly. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, October 9.
