Compared to last week: best test on steers 800 to 949 lbs mostly steady. Best test on heifers 700 to 749 lbs 4.00 lower. Moderate to good demand for feeding type cattle today depending on flesh condition. Buyers are showing more discrimination on flesh than they had several weeks ago. A few backgrounding and grass types again this week which continue to see very good demand. Quality varied today but mostly average to attractive. Market activity mostly active and buyers continue to buy multiple loads of cattle quite a bit when offered. The feeder and live cattle futures experienced another day of losses. Some moisture at the beginning of the week for the area followed by warm and sunny conditions, cattle are still staying mostly clean hided. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, April 17.
