Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Sale not reported last week due to light receipts, compared to two weeks ago: steers 600 to 949 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Heifers 600 to 699 lbs 7.00 to 10.00 lower, 700 to799 lbs steady to 1.00 lower. Good demand for today's large offering of many loads and packages of home raised and backgrounded cattle with lighter backgrounding types seeing the best demand. Lots of attractive quality cattle to choose from again this week. More variation in flesh than two weeks ago, most cattle in moderate to moderate plus with some heavy flesh at times. Cattle are still staying clean, there hasn't been an abundance of moisture to get yards really muddy. Market activity mostly active even with the losses on the board this week. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, April 10.
